Sancho Films, created in 2009 by Michael Wahrmann, is dedicated to authorial and independent projects. In order to find true partners for each project, Sancho Films maintains several associations with other producers, who support and are supported in conception and production. Currently, Sancho Filmes is associated to Dezenove Som e Imagens, by Sara Silveira and producer Renata Moura.
RENATA MOURA / SANCHO FILMES
Currently associated to Sancho Filmes, Renata Moura worked in films and TV projects as a producer and assistant since 1998. Among them, Carandiru by Hector Babenco. As general producer, she produced Jeferson De’s shorts, and her company’s, Barraco Forte, first feature: Bróder, directed by Jeferson De. The film premiered at the Panorama of the 60th Berlin Film Festival.
SARA SILVEIRA / DEZENOVE SOM E IMAGENS
Was founded by filmmaker Carlos Reichenbach and producer Sara Silveira in 1991, in partnership with Maria Ionescu, with the goal of producing independent short and feature films for the national and international markets. Since then, the company has been producing some of the most memorable Brazilian films. Producing or co-producing, with Brazilian or foreign partners, Dezenove has been presenting its films around the world for the past nineteen years.
